What country are you based in?

USA

Do you feel your location has an effect on your domain investing?

Domains are digital assets, so location is not relevant in my opinion. If anything, I have to work a bit harder + pay more taxes compared to the investors abroad located in Dubai etc.

How long have you been involved in domains?

Over a decade.

Are you a full time domainer?

Full time. I spend a lot of time researching names and managing my portfolio everyday including weekends.

How did you find out about domain investing?

Early 2000’s but didn’t invest right away as it was a hobby thru college back then.

How many domains do you currently hold?

Number always changes but in the tens of thousands of #com names; somewhere around 17,000 names.

What's your favourite non .com tld/nTLD/gTLD?

I have shorted all non #com positions for 2022 and beyond, but have sold .COs the most in the past.

What's the best advice you've been given by another domain investor, either directly or through something they've said on twitter or in an interview?

If you dig deep and turn a lot of stones, you realize that the greatest investors and leaders follow a system or a process. I would have not been able to scale and keep expanding without following a process.
Laser focus on what you are doing is also critical.

What kind of goals do you set yourself?

Massive goals that I might not be able to reach in my lifetime.

Who are your top 3 domain investors?

Only going to mention two with Mike Mann being a mentor briefly, and Frank S being the absolute best domain investor as he made a grand exit + got his f%&K you money.

What's the toughest part of domain investing?

Capital, as I am always expanding and looking for the next milestone.

How do you structure the domaining part of your day?

Portfolio management including renewals/transfers etc in the AM for a couple of hours + research another 6-10hrs/day as I handreg and research a lot of names.

How do you manage your portfolio?

Excel at the moment.

Do you also have any NFTs or Crypto in your portfolio?

Yes, negligible amounts.

What's the most you've ever spent on one domain?

Four figures on solid #com names many times.

Have you ever done outbound? If so, were/are you successful?

Yes. If you have low startup capital or just starting out then outbound is a must at first as you need cash flow to scale. I am successful at outbound and wrote The Domain Investing Playbook about my experience.
I am a sales guy and feel very confident I can pick up the phone or email 100 people and collect some money today.

You're given $10k to spend on domains, how do you spend it?

If I didn’t have the skills I have today and started from day one again, then I would invest probably half in myself: improving my communication skills and learning sales. The other 5k I would strategically acquire ONLY #com names some to outbound some for long term holds.
If you just handed me 10k today I would simply focus on hand registering 1400+ #com names as I have spent tens of thousands of hours mastering digital branding and cherry-picking gems.

Outside of domains, what other business/wealth/personal growth figures do you look up to?

Elon, Warren, Grant Cardone etc.

What do you do when you're not domaining?

Just started working on another venture, but when time permits you will find me outdoors away from the big city shooting guns, riding ATV, or on a fishing trip somewhere at a lake or the ocean.

What advice would you give to people just starting out in domains?

1.Improve your sales and communication skills.
2.Spend your time studying sales 98% of your time and only 2% on the buy-side.
3.Get a mentor.
4.Have patience. Domain investing is NOT a get-rich-quick deal.
